バイロイトのドレス
Dresses at the Bayreuther Festival

何年か前、ワグナーのリングを聴きにバイロイトに行った。
リングは四夜聴きに行く。ドレスを４枚鞄に入れた。
この頃はどこもブラックドレスの方が多い。
ブラックドレスは短いのも長いのも素敵だから。
ただ、バイロイトで楽しかったのは色とりどりのイブニングドレスだった。
バイロイトは町から少し離れている。美しい木立の坂道を８時まで明るい夏の夕方、
いろんな色のイブニングドレスの方たちがゆっくりと歩く。
まわりはうれしくなるほどたくさんの緑、それから花々。静けさ。
ここを皆ブラックドレス＋タキシードじゃなくって、
様々な涼やかで明るい色のドレスなことが愉快だった。
田舎の夏の夕方の、森の中の、
ビール工場と同じこしらえのオペラ劇場なんだもの。
いっぱいの色のドレスの方がおもしろい。
どの方も美しく、ご機嫌でした。
たまにイブニングドレスを着るのは楽しい。

 

Some years ago, I've been in Bayreuth to enjoy the Ring of Wagner.

The performances of the Ring run for four nights. 

I've prepared four dresses in the suitcase. 

Recently black dresses are in mode everywhere, for they are nice-looking, either short or long. 

But in Bayreuth colorful dresses were delightful.
The Bayreuther theatre is situated a little away from the city center. 

In summer evening, when it was still light till 8 pm, 

ladies with evening dresses were going up the slight slope surrounded with beatiful trees. 

There were so much green, so many flowers, and so much quietness that might people delightful. 

There all people were seen wearing various clean and bright-colored dresses, not black dresses and tuxedos. 

It was very pleasant.In contrast, indeed, with the Operahouse which was constructed 

in the wood in the appearance of the brewery factory. 

And it was summer evening. 

It was pleasant to see colorful dresses in this circumstance. 

All people were beatiful and in a good mood. 

For me too, it is delightful to wear evening dress ocasiomally.
